I fell in love with this painting the first time I saw it! Alvar graciously allowed me to adopt it, and as I was waiting for it to arrive, I copied the picture and set it as my wallpaper. I have to tell you, the picture of the painting posted on the website truly did not do the painting justice. It is even better viewing it in person! I emailed Alvar about his work, and he responded immediately. I was stunned that I had received it. I asked the artist what he was thinking of when he painted it, and he responded that he didn't like to discuss his paintings, but prefers to let the viewer have their own interpretation. The first thing I saw was my dog, which has been missing since January. I kept that to myself, but showed my 17 year old daughter the picture on the website, before it arrived. She had the exact same reaction. It was then that I knew I had to have this painting. This work of art is very special to our entire family, and just looking at it makes us all happy. Words could never describe how we feel about the painting, so I hope that an honest, sincere thank you will suffice. Keep up the great work, I look forward to viewing more of your art.
