Metropolis places a patch of living plants, soil and moss within the plastic form suggesting a high-rise city. Up to four people can occupy the space by placing their heads inside the "biosphere" for an up-close and immersive view of the landscape and each other. The piece includes a hanging system, acrylic structures, and a customized planting and maintenance plan and adoption paperwork for the location where it is to be installed. The work is already crated. As a living artwork, this piece is interactive and requires care. The plants must be watered and maintained. The adoptor of the artwork becomes a symbiotic partner in its life.
