Urban Mechanisms of Wish Fulfillment
artist: Jesse Seay
artist: Jesse Seay
These trash cans were part of a public art installation. Passersby were invited to paint their wishes on the cans, which were mounted on rollers and had bells inside. After painting their wish, participants spun the cans like prayer wheels, to insure their wishes came true. The piece is disassembled, so now these cans are available as brightly painted functional objects to remind us of all the things we long for. I'm not sure about the size, but it's a 31 gallon galvanized steel trash can, and there are 8 of them, in perfect painted condition. Adopt one today!
